Starting fresh in Los Santos can feel rough. You've got a slow car, barely any cash, and every decent upgrade seems miles away. Some players skip that early grind with GTA 5 Modded Accounts, but if you're building your money the normal way, you'll want to put your first big investment into something that pays you back fast. For solo players, two options stand out more than the rest: the Kosatka submarine and the Acid Lab.
Why the Kosatka changes everything
The Kosatka looks expensive when you're broke. That 2.2 million GTA$ price can sting. Still, it opens the door to the Cayo Perico Heist, and that's where the real money starts. You don't need three random players who quit halfway through. You don't need a perfect crew. You can do the whole thing alone, which is a huge deal if you mostly play solo or late at night. Once you know the prep missions and the compound route, the run becomes pretty calm. Most players can clear the setups and finale in under an hour after a bit of practice.
Making Cayo Perico less painful
The smart move is to buy the Sparrow for the Kosatka as soon as you can afford it. It's not just a luxury. It saves time on nearly every prep mission because you can launch from the submarine, land back inside, and move straight to the next job. No messing around with roads, no driving across the map in something slow, and no parking drama near the coast. A regular Cayo run can bring in well over a million, even when the target isn't amazing. Get a better primary target or grab good secondary loot, and the payout feels even sweeter.
The Acid Lab is easy money on the side
The Acid Lab works in a very different way, but that's why it fits so well with Cayo. You can unlock the Brickade 6x6 through the First Dose missions, then set it up at The Freakshop. After that, it's mostly hands-off. Call Mutt, buy supplies, wait for the product to cook, and sell when it's ready. The best part is the delivery. It's one bike, not three vans spread across the county. That alone makes it friendly for solo players. The profit isn't as wild as Cayo, but it's steady, simple, and doesn't demand much attention.
Build a loop that actually works
The best routine is simple: start Acid Lab production, run your Cayo prep and finale, then come back and check your stock. It keeps money moving without making the game feel like a second job. If you're starting from nothing, buy the Kosatka first, then add the Acid Lab once you've got breathing room. Some players also look at GTA 5 Accounts for sale when they want a quicker start, but learning this loop gives you a real way to stay rich in Los Santos. Watch the Thursday updates too, because bonus weeks can turn a good grind into a great one.
